What's the origin of the car make, "Infiniti" please.

I not sure where there from originally, but there owned by Nissan which is japanese.

UPDATE:

Infiniti is originally a luxury Japanese car.

infinity is it`s own line of cars but I don`t remember who bought them out recently. hope this helps.

In the late 80's the major Japanese car makers saw their most sucessful and wealthy customers leaving and going to European luxury cars. So, Honda, Toyota & Nissan started designing luxury brands. Honda introduced the Acura line, Toyota started Lexus and Nissan introduced Infiniti. Of the 3 brands, Lexus is the best selling brand and all 3 brands have terrific vehicles. Hope this helps.
